This work is an homage to the creators of ‘The Gates,’ a 37 kilometer installation in Central Park in New York City, by Christo and Jeanne-Claude; the use of material, panels of deep saffron-coloured recylable, rip-stop fabric, and ambient rustling sounds, were part of the experience. This magical ephemeral installation lasted only 16 days, from February 12 to February 27, 2005.

The nature of construction materials and their seductive tactile elements, such as touch, colour, sound and smell, move me to photograph these unintended installation pieces in construction sites, which are simply there for the looking.
